Steve started his racing career in 1986 racing go karts at Blanket Hill Speedway. After 11 years of racing karts Steve's Dad got him into micro sprints. Steve raced micros from 1997-2001 and then restarted his micro career in 2007 sharing a car with his brother Barry. In 2008 Barry had a ride of his own and Steve took over the wheel full time. After a bad flip in which Steve totaled his car in July he sat out the rest of 2008. In 2009 Steve Purchased a 2005 hyper. After a rough start to the season Steve and crew started to come together. After a few solid runs Steve claimed his first heat win and followed it up with his first career victory! In 2010 good friend Ed Brown offered Steve a part time ride in his 600 micro sprint. Steve gave a one victory in 2010, and has followed it up with three so far in 2011.
